Listening

Kristin’s first step in assisting you is to listen. Kristin wants to hear all the characteristics of a home and neighborhood that you desire. The price range, the desired proximity to home, schools, and places of worship are important factors. Special needs or community support should be considered early.

Qualification

Kristin can assist you with recommending reputable mortgage bankers and lenders. A pre-approval letter will make your home buying process smoother and make your offer look more appealing to the seller.

Touring Properties

As a Buyers Agent, Kristin has access to all homes for sale even if they are not listed with her. Let Kristin know of any homes that you might be interested in and she can book an appointment to visit the property with you. As you visit properties, make sure to make notes about your likes and dislikes so it will enable Kristin to determine what you are looking for in your dream home.

 

Offer To Purchase

Kristin is licensed to complete a Residential Sale Contract prepared by the Oregon Association of Realtors. Price, earnest money, finance, appraisal terms, inspection contingencies, title investigation, and closing date are all important considerations. Kristin will negotiate on your behalf to arrive at the most favorable terms for you.

Inspections

Kristin will assist in scheduling inspectors of your choice. Environmental, termite, well, septic and sewer, as well as building/structural inspections are recommended. Kristin will accompany you on the inspection and negotiate items that you want repaired or need replacement prior to closing.

Closing

A few days prior to closing, Kristin will schedule a “walk through” for you to observe the property condition for a final time. Kristin will arrange for keys to be delivered to you and also your final closing instructions.
